After it aired on TCM 12/23...

... Does anyone know the name of the animated short film that followed? It had an anti-war message and involved some baby chipmunks hearing from their grandfather (who was, inexplicably, a squirrel) about the meaning of the phrase, "Peace on earth, good will towards men."

"Peace on Earth". I've seen it quite a few times on TCM.

This is so wierd!!

A year later, today on Dec 23rd 2007, TCM is playing this film again, on the same date. I am burning it to DVD this time. I love this movie!!

God bless TCM!

The Truth is out there.

Just watched "All Mine to Give". It's a simply beautiful movie, and when you realize that the film is based on a true story, it tugs at the heart all the more. Hey, I'm a sucker for tough/guy gangster movies, but this picture really got to me.

Since this is based on a true story, I'm wondering if anyone knows what happened to the children in real life? I just saw the movie for the first time when it aired on 12/23 and I could not stop crying. Even at such a young age, Rex Thompson (the actor who played Robbie) really did an excellent job. What a tearjerker!

The story was from a 1946 article in "Cosmopolitan Magazine". See this link: http://wvls.lib.wi.us/ClarkCounty/clark/news/OldDays/1998_1_7.htm

TEXASTREASURE 517 - I could not get your link to work; however, I went online and found this story:

Maybe it will help some people figure out what happened in the 1800's to this family.
