the final scene

I am holding the vinyl record soundtrack to AN AFFAIR TO REMEMBER. It states the movie's actual final scene was of Cary Grant carrying Deborah Kerr across the threshold of the French Riviera home they had visited earlier in the movie. It was NOT the scene that appeared in the movie with the final line: "If you can paint, I can walk".
Was this "threshold" scene just planned but never filmed, or was it filmed and never used? IMDb states the movie's running time is 115 min. but my DVD is 119 min. What 4 minutes between the VHS release and the DVD release were DELETED?
Does anyone know?
