What a brilliant story poking fun at the class system, a lot of which I'm sure went on.
I loved the way that houses & mod cons were created in less than 2 years, if only these 8 people had been put in charge of building Wembley stadium.
I loved the little observations & gadgets, my favourites being the hot shower and record player.
What are your favourite memories of this terrific movie?

I loved Tweeny emerging triumphantly at the end looking stylish and elegant- I adored the way Diane Cilento played her, I was rooting for Tweeny all along.

Plus when you saw Lord Lome bringing Chrichton breakfast and realised the power shift, that was brilliantly funny as well as thought provoking.

The story was not poking fun at the class system. It was illustrating how people react to changing circumstances.

I think it was doing both, IMO.

No blah, blah, blah!
