Another one recorded off Film4 while I was at work... A very clunky beginning. But, it settles down and I found it fun, charming and really very likeable... A few quirks you wouldn't get in modern films - Kenneth More's wet, clinging underwear was slightly X-rated, etc.

Same here. I wonder how many caught a revealing comment by Crichton when he said that he was against equality of the classes (or something like that) because if he was equal to his master, then the footman was equal to HIM.

I thought "What a great way to keep people in line" - create classes and then imbue each level with an air of superiority that trickles down the social ladder.

In Kenneth More's wet underwear scene, I reckon his two helpers look like the two British airmen from 'Allo 'Allo.
