Scenes in alternative version?

About six years ago I saw this movie on AMC, or at least what I believed to be this movie. I recall a scene with a man on a train reading a newspaper; a woman and her daughter are sitting across from him. The daughter stands up, but faints and falls on the man. The mother apologizes and the two talk some more. He goes to a cabin or resort or some kind and meet up with another scientist or the like and they agree to take a cable car across a mountain. However, when I watched the DVD version I received from NetFlix today, neither one of these scenes were present. The mountain scenery seemed very familiar, but nothing else rang a bell. Can anybody verify that there's a version of this movie with these scenes or if these scenes are from a different movie altogether? Thanks.

You want "The Crawling Eye" which is one of my favorites. Enjoy this fun film.!

This movie is the Trollenberg Terror / The Craweling Eye.

This is one of my favorite Sci_Fi movies. The scene you mentioned is Forrest Tucker and the 2 woman were sisters (The Pilgram Sisters). Very good movie with poor special effects, still one of my favorites.

Another decent movie with Forrest Tucker from this era is "The Strange World Of Planet X," which was released in the U.S. as "The Cosmic Monsters."

I also like "The Trollenberg Terror"/"The Crawling Eye."
