This is the 1957 Glenn Ford/Van Heflin version. You have several chances. They show this one regularly on this channel. They are showing it on October 4th at 8 P.M. EST! Also they are showing it on October 13th (Saturday) at 12:35 EST and 8 P.M. EST. You also have a chance on Sunday Morning October 14 at 4:15 A.M. EST. Please be sure to double check your tv guides for the time in your area. Some of the times may not be convenient so you may want to be sure to set your recorders. This movie is very good and worth seeing if you haven't seen it before. Heflin is very good as Dan as is Ford as Ben. Henry Jones also stands out as the town drunk but the entire cast is good and the movie is a great western.

I remember Encore Western aired it on August, it was not letterboxed. So if you are a first-time viewer, I would recommend you get the DVD to fully appreciate the stunning widescreen cinematography, instead of watching it on cable. And you can get the special edition on blockbuster.
