Filming Locations

Back in the early 90's I lived and worked at The Amerind Foundation in Dragoon, Arizona. Dragoon id located amongst some incredible, boulder-strewn mountains. I was told at the time that the crew of this movie spent some time filming portions of it there ... does anybody know whether there's any truth to that?
