One of my favorite movies

This is definitely the best older movie I"ve seen(as in pre 60s) . I could watch it over and over again and I'd still love it just as much as the first time.

It's a classic. Great concept, great performance by Fonda.

reply

& it's aged phenomenally. There is a remake/'97 that is not bad as one might think. Very serviceable.

I thought Lee J. Cobb had the best performance here, but, Fonda is strong too.

reply

I can't stand this movie. It's so manipulative, just like Fonda's character.

reply

He is a bit of a ball buster, Strat. I understand where you're coming from on Fonda, but, I didn't want to go 1st. LOL!

reply

godewey would be mad at you for this opinion. very mad.

reply

Good thing I've got him tied up and locked up in my basement!

reply

I wondered what happened to him. Is he enjoying it down there ???

reply

He's letting out screams of pleasure, Mitch!

reply

Say hello to him for me. Between screams. Maybe I will pay him a visit someday.

reply

We'll have fun watching St. Elmo's Fire together. I promise you!

reply

Is he wearing a Gimp outfit ??

reply

As he would put it, he's wearing nothing but a smile!😁

Just rewatched it after many years. The only problem I had with it was, that wasn't exactly a jury of his peers. That was easily overlooked considering the cast, the great acting and dialogue.

reply

How weren't they a jury of his peers? A serious question, I don't know much about this aspect of a trial.

reply

Now that I have seen it on the trending bar, I plan on watching it again later.
