Unanimous?

In the opening scene the judge instructs the jury they must be all for or all against guilty. One not guilty wouldn't get him off? Or at least a mistrial? Never heard of it.

In the U.S. that is how it works for criminal cases. There must be a unanimous decision either way - if not - it is a mistrial and the prosecution can either re-try the case or decide not to. If there was only one not guilty vote - he would not be acquitted.
