And yet more Zorro DVD's

Disney Movie Club is now offering Sets 3, 4 & 5 of Season 2,
completing the season.

I have completed watching them and they are delightful. Guest stars include Cesar Romero, Jeff York, Everett Sloane and Annette.

This completes the Second Season.

I was just checking out the latest Disney Movie Club mailer, and a boxed set of the Complete Second Season is now available.

I've always adored Guy Williams as Zorro. The entire cast worked so well together!!! I KNOW that they would have come up with many many more incredible shows. They all seemed to have so much fun working with each other.

I'll never forgive ABC for their part in the end of the series. Their reasoning to not at least continue with Zorro from 'out of their own studio' was rediculous, especially when the series was already in production and was successful! I remember how surprised and confused I was when it was no longer being shown.

I'm so very glad that the ones that were made are available that we can look at and enjoy over and over.

I have been interested in obtaining the series through the Disney Movie Club, but was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what the purchase price is. They don't list the cost of the DVDs they're selling unless you join the club, and that, of course, makes it hard to know how much one even ends up paying to take care of the membership requirements, and since the main Disney DVDs that I'm interested in getting that aren't available (easily) elsewhere... are ZORRO. I'd like to have an idea if I can afford to join, and obtain them.

Thanks for any info anyone can share

The list price of each set is $59.95 and each individual volume (there are 5 in each set) list at $21.95

They do alway seem to be on sale, though, for $35.97 & $13.17, respectively.

They usually work buy one at "full price", you get the other (or more than one) at the sale price. That changes a bit so I don't know exactly what there prices are all the time.

However, if you don't care about the "boxed set" part of it and the boxes are just flimsy cardboard. You can order the first four (or maybe five) as your initial membership at a tremendous discount and then order the rest in the next month to fulfill your membership requirement.

I checked some previous orders of mine and when I ordered one at $21.95, I got the rest at $10.98, so as I said the prices can vary, depending on the sale.

Shipping is at least $3,95. Once, whe I ordered 6 Zorro separate DVD's, the shipping was $8.95. I don't know if that's an upper limit, but it should give you some idea what they cost.

of course, you don't have to order then all at once and after your first membership deal, you can string them out.

Just get those "refusing or accepting" the featured selection on time!

And they won't ship to a PO Box, only a home address.

They do have some other nice classic exclusives - Big Red, Moon Pilot, Monkey's Uncle, So Dear to My Heart, The Incredible Journey (original version), The legend of Lobo, Rob Roy, Fighting Prince of Donegal, Kidnapped, Robin Hood, A Tiger Walks & The Horse Without a Head.

It's not a bad deal. Good luck!
