The four episodes listed here as "Season 3" are all one-hour (minus ads) Zorro stories that aired on Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color in 1960-61.

It certainly would be nice if each of these were split in two and added to the Zorro package, but I suspect neither Disney or NBC (owner of Cozi TV) finds it profitable.

Yeah, it's frustrating that the hour-length episodes produced after the series ended are destined to remain "lost", or at least "orphan" episodes, unless one buys the DVD.

Also, since the series only lasted for two seasons, it would be nice to have what's left of the Zorro legacy included in the retro TV broadcast package just to extend the run for another week; given the recent two-per-day schedule, the series seems to recycle every few weeks.

But it's not about giving fans satisfaction or "closure"; as you point out, it's always and forever about the benjamins.

BTW, as one of an apparent minority of viewers who dislikes "colorization", aka "Fifty Shades of Brown", I assumed that the so-called "Season 3" episodes were actually filmed in color. I hoped that they'd be televised eventually so I could compare the color quality to the colorized version.

A quick check on IMDb shows that I was wrong-- they're in black and white too.

Huh? So much for the "Wonderful World of Color"!

The ironic thing is they did reformat the two episodes that were stand-along stories into 2-parters for the 1960's syndication package! So somewhere in the Vaults, there are safty-negatives of those episodes reformat.
