Season 1 vs. Season 2

All the Zorro episodes I've seen have been from Season 1, and I liked what I saw enough to buy the complete first season from Disney - and it's money well spent, as far as I'm concerned.

How does Season 2 compare to Season 1 in terms of the quality of writing and action? I know that the storylines are shorter and "Amnesty for Zorro" is highly regarded. Other than that, how do they compare quality-wise?

The two are about the same quality wise. There are a few episodes here and there that miss in both seasons (some of the Eagle episodes weren't that great before they finally introduce him in season 1). The story arcs are shorter though in the second season, either being one-shot episodes or a few episodes.

The Estevan (Cesar Romero), Monterey, and Plot Against the Governor arcs are all great though. If you enjoyed the first season, watch the second. The show never "jumped the shark" and stayed a high quality production until its end.

Season 1 was way better! Season 2 was good until the last Joaquin Castenada episode! Then the episodes got really weird, and it was more about love and romance then action! Some of the leater ones where good! The one's where they tried to kill the governor were good, and Senor China Boy was pretty good! But season 1 was way better!

Overall, they're about the same quality. Season 1 is a little better, but it's not really an appreciable difference.

I agree with this. Season 1 is kinda perfect, but the writers were always skilled in injecting new blood to the show and prevent it from getting repetitive.
