The Thin Man TV Series

I loved the Thin Man TV series I watched it growing up in England in the 1950s. The acting was great and I thought "Nick and Nora" were superb together. I had not seen this show until GETTV aired it in March and continued until the end of July. I was so disappointed when they took it off the air and did not conclude the second series. I did in fact e-mail GETTV and asked them why they did that and they told me that they change the series every month but they would pass my message on for more episodes or a repeat of the other episodes. Keep your fingers crossed. I will keep hounding them until they put it on again. I wish someone would put it on DVD, it would be great.

I hope they bring it back. I was enjoying it and was disappointed they took it off.

They don't actually "change the series" every month, but rather they change the schedule every month.

So some shows they might play to their series conclusion and then even replay them again, while others (like The Thin Man), they abort prematurely. Seems arbitrary and poorly designed. All they had to do was play The Thin Man one more month and it would have been completed. Dumb.

Hopefully, they resurrect this tremendous show and finish it out for us fans. They've done this with other shows.

I hope they bring it back and finish the last 8 episodes. They state they bought them from MGM so what's the point if they are not going to televise them? I have been a big fan of the Thin Man since 1957 and wish they would put it on DVD.

I hope so too!! I kept a number of the shows on my recorder so I can rewatch them at my leisure, but I want to see those last 8 shows!

So in looking at the GetTV schedule for September, they are leaving a number of shows on there where they are replaying them for a 2nd or even a 3rd time (??).

And they brought back another show to their schedule (Riptide), that they've already played through entirely also (??).

So again, where are the remaining Thin Man episodes????

Now I see that GetTV is playing the first 5 episodes (AGAIN) of Season 2 back to back starting at 4am Eastern Time on October 13th (??).

I don't see any other showings planned for the following week.

Why such randomness??

Why not play the unseen shows from Season 2 instead??

Huh??
