TCOT Impatient Partner--Oversight

In an episode written by ESG, himself, Mason's client, drunk and enraged, was denied access to a murdered man's apartment. He then passed out on the hallway stairs and the murderer took his briefcase and left it in the apartment after bludgeoning his victim. Mason could have cast doubt on Burger's case early on by asking Lt.Tragg why there was no trace of his client's fingerprints anywhere in the apartment, except for the briefcase.

BTW, the client was played by Wesley Lau, who later succeeded Ray Collins in the police lieutenant role as a different character,of course.
