Classic moment in Perry Mason series

In "The case of the Weary Watchdog" as I am watching right now. We learn how far Perry will go to help a friend. Della asks him for $25,000 with out any questions asked. Perry with a split second pause, then pulls out a folded blank check and makes it out to Della. And responds in classic fashion "Without questions and without thanks".

There is just one little thing wrong with the scene that I believe no one has ever addressed. When Perry hands Della the check, it has conveniently lost it's fold crease.

Add this to the Trivia section of the IMDb entry.

I'd recommend the goofs section.

You may cross-examine.

What was surprising to me is that Perry wrote a check so easily for $25,000 -a sizesble amount in 1962!. Now we know how thriving his law practice was.

On a recent METV episode, a pidgeon lost $60,000 in a "friendly" private two person game in a legal poker parlor.

And what was the catch phrase of that episode. Perry and Mr. Enclitus (not sure about the spelling) just "Wants to see everybody happy".

So, YOU have "addressed" it!: Now what??...Exactly!--Exactly! (As Steve McGarrett would say)--Now you see why no one before you bothered to point it out...

I didn't expect a long discussion about it. Just trying to point out a little mistake, I wasn't trying to make a federal case out of it.

It just goes to show how good the producers were trying to keep it as close to reality as possible when it came to court room dramas.
