Time Computation "Full House"

The Maverick episode "Full House" (25 October 1959) has Bret Maverick meet a gang of famous western gunslingers.

Fans of Star Trek are familiar with a scene in "The Cage" and "The Menagerie" where the Talosians have abdicated Number One and Yeoman Colt to give Captain Pike more females to choose from, frustrating Vina:

VINA: You're no better choice. They'd have more luck crossing him with a computer.
NUMBER ONE: Well, shall we do some time computation? There was a Vina listed on that expedition as an adult crewman. Now, adding eighteen years to your age then.

And ever since I have sometimes done "time computation" related to various stories, movies and television shows.

With all the famous outlaws and all the actors, "Full House" is certainly a good subject for "time computation".

The earliest born famous criminal in "Full House" was Charles Earl Boles "Black Bart" (1829-1888?) who was born in 1829 and was last seen on February 28, 1888. Nobody knows when "Black Bart" died, but one rumor claimed that he died in New York City in 1917 - when he would have been 88.

The longest lived famous criminals in "Full House" were Frank James (January 10, 1843-February 18, 1915) who lived 72 years, 1 month, and 8 days, and Cole Younger (January 15, 1844-March 21, 1916) who lived 72 years, 2 months, and 6 days. Frank James died "only" 104 years and 26 days before today, March 16, 2019.

And the earliest born actors who portrayed famous criminals in "Full House" were Mike Lally (June 1, 1900-February 15, 1984), Jack Gordon (December 5,1906-February 3, 1976), Rusty Wescoatt (August 2, 1911-September 3, 1987), and George Barrows (February 7, 1914-October 17, 1994).

Those four actors were all born before Frank James and Cole Younger died, and Jack Gordon who portrayed Frank James was 8 years, 2 months, and 13 days old when Frank James died. The overlapping life spans of Frank James and Jack Gordon cover 133 years and 10 days.

George Barrows (February 7, 1914-October 17, 1994), was 1 year and 11 days old when Frank James (January 10, 1843-February 18, 1915) died. The overlapping life spans of Frank James and George Barrows cover 151 years, 9 months, and 7 days.

And Joel Grey who portrayed "Billy the Kid" in "Full Hand" is still alive, having been born April 11, 1932, and is thus 86 years, 11 months, and 5 days old as of March 16, 2019. So the overlapping lives of Joel Grey (born April 11, 1932), George Barrows (February 7, 1914-October 17, 1994), and Frank James (January 10, 1843-February 18, 1915) cover 176 years, 2 months, and 6 days as of March 16, 2019.

If someone born on the day Frank James died, February 18, 1915, lives to be exactly 114 years old, they will die February 18, 2029, and if someone born on February 18, 2029 lives to be exactly 114 years old they will die on February 18, 2143, so there should continue to be sets of three overlapping lives including the life span of Frank James for many years to come.

Today, March 16, 2019, the four oldest people in the world were born between 2 January 1903 and 30 March 1904 and were over ten years old when Frank James and Cole Younger died. So the overlapping lives of Frank James and each of the many surviving centenarians who were born before he died cover 176 years, 2 months, and 6 days as of today, March 16, 2019.

"Full House" (25 October 1959) was broadcast 59 years, 4 months, and 19 days before today, March 16, 2019. 59 years, 4 months, and 19 days before 25 October 1959, was 6 June 1900. Frank James and Cole Younger were still alive then. Charles Earl Boles "Black Bart" (1829-1888?) might have still been alive on 6 June 1900, when he would have been about 71 years old, and which was only 12 years, 3 months, and 9 days after he was last seen on February 28, 1888.

Time was put in a blender for this and the later show, "Bret Maverick." One thing that killed me was that every year seemed to be 1872.

Actually "The Jeweled Gun" is dated to May, 1876, and "Passage to Fort Doom" is dated to June, 1878. But I suspect that the Maverick episodes that do have dates won't have dates agreeing with the order of production or broadcasting. Thus the fictional dates when give probably jump around rather randomly and we can't assumed that later episodes happen after earlier episodes.

You're really into this. Kudos!
