Maverick on DVD recommendations

I know several companies are offering Maverick on DVD complete collections. Any recommendations so far as what might be a company that offers better quality, like at least the Columbia House VHS quality?

Thanks.

No. And I've looked. You take your chance with any of those companies who are basically offering bootlegs.

On May 20th.they are releasing THE NEW MAVERICK,which is good, and if it sells well then WB will probably release the show, all of them, on DVD. So, buy THE NEW MAVERICK,the more sold ,the better.

There is another option to get MAVERICK on DVD. I just read in the newspaper today about a CO. called SHOUT FACTORY. There website is www.shoutfactory.com. Somebody should contact them about getting MAVERICK on DVD. Because I would LOVE to get MAVERICK on DVD. After having watched Maverick on the Encore channel I'M dying to get ALL 5 seasons on DVD. I think this can be done. Because I have gotten another t.v.series that the shout factory put out and it is the first 2 seasons of Raymond Burr's IRONSIDE. Give it a shot anyone, I hope this info helps.

I am also interested in all episodes of Maverick from WB. For awhile they were available on AOL TV and then one day they were gone. I cannot tell you how great it was to play some poker and watch Maverick after Maverick during the day.

I wonder why they were pulled from AOL, perhaps the contract with the cable network.

I am hesitant to buy any of the TV recorded bootleg systems because of quality concerns.

Warner Brothers will not license out their shows so Shout Factory is out of the question. I hope this series and other WB westerns will one day come out through the Warner Archive series.

Joe, If the Encore package is available on your TV system, I heartily recommend paying for that. Maverick is on 3 times a day now on Encore Westerns, and I've been able to record virtually every episode that I like. There are no commercials, so I have to do is set my timer and I get a show uncut with no interruptions.

It looks like Maverick will be reduced to twice a day after Christmas, but the channel still has Cheyenne and is apparently adding Have Gun Will Travel, The Virginian, and the early Gun Smoke episodes. I'd much rather watch those classic TV westerns than just about anything else that is on TV.

BB Ace Productions has a good quality transfer of seasons 1&3.

Maverick is a series that has to be on DVD.
