Dutchman's Gold

I think this might have been the only time a TV show had an ep based on a popular song of the day.

This was a good Roger ep more serious story this time.
Reminds one of "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre" except its Indians and not Mexicans who go after them much as there is one Mexican who gives them thouble.

Songs that told stories were very popular back then.

Films had theme tunes on the radio & juke box that weren't used in the films at all. Example:

The Man Who shot Liberty Valence
Bonnie & Clyde
Sink The Bismark.

That summer Roger co-starred with Clint Walker in "Gold of the 7 Saints"

As Bond in The Man with the Golden Gun 1974, that same year "GOLD" with Susannah York, a bit of a letdown.

Sherlock Holmes in New York (TV Movie) had a gold robbery.
(part of which was DIE HARD III)

Roger's early show The Alaskans had eps with "gold" in the title.

On a two part The Roaring 20's: he played "14 Karat John"

Looks like old Roger had a lot more GOLD then SEAN.
