I watched it, too, and they said they were renting it for 2 months because Lucy and Ricky were going to California cause Ricky was going to be in a movie. But the movie was postoponed indefinitely, so Lucy and Ricky had to stay with the Mertzes while the Williams were living in the Ricardo house.
