Leave it to Beaver never had a multi-part storyline

I love how this show never had a continuing storyline like most shows does, all 234 episodes without a continue story is impressive.

They sort of have a continuing story about moving, but it's not so much a "story" as it is that they mention things about the moving process in several different episodes before they actually move, and then after they move Ward says that he doesn't expect the ceiling to cave in after he buys a, new house (after Beaver made it cave in).

There was also some continuity during the last half of the final season dealing with Wally's impending graduation from high school and Beaver's graduation from junior high.

That is or at least 233 episodes, I don't count the last one as really an episode or at least full episode as it is a clip show, which a lot of times writers would decide to use if they are too tried to come up with a new story line, if just one for a whole episode.

Yeah, great point! I concur that really it's 233 episodes and last LITB film is a piece of crap cut & paste hack job of a non-episode.

Clip shows are not something writers "decide" to use if they are tired or feeling lazy. It's a mandate by the producers because they are extremely cheap, since they use previously filmed material.

That was normal back then, actually. You were supposed to be able to watch a random episode and get a complete story without having to watch the previous one.

There's something to be said for the done-in-one episode.
