I was wrong with my first post John Dehner played Paladin on the radio

after Richard Boone played him on TV. and apparently they used the scripts written for the TV show and used them on the radio. You can read my first post that I made that turned out to be incorrect. Now that I think of it it seems odd to me because most TV shows came after the radio show.


I read at least one thread where someone mentioned it. Before the TV show HGWT was a radio show (Gunsmoke was also a radio show and William Conrad played Matt Dillon) with John Dehner playing the lead. and one thing I discovered while watching the TV show was many of the episodes were word for word repeats of the radio show. My guess is they did it to save money by not paying for a writer
