THE MISSLE BIRD !

Has anyone ever seen this episode of gumby ??? More importantly than that is this episode available on any of the available DVD collections. I swear to god it is one of the all time most hillarious episodes of any cartoon I have ever seen. It is up in a catagory with the episode "Gumby Racer" where the engine pops out of cars hood and says that "it's tired and it's feet are sore !". or when the water melons that turn back into "zoops". Or "Tom & Jerry" when the blonde teenager is supposed to be babysitting an infant and lets walk out of the house and on to a chutes & ladders style construction site. Or Bugs Bunny's "Hot Dog and Hamburger" were gonna have roast rabbit. I can go on about this forever, not to mention the fact that it was at a time when a cartoon like this was good clean fun compared to now (animated censorship could easily take up a whole seperate thread/topic). However-has anyone seen or for that matter does anyone remember this episode ?

I have. It must be one of the oldest of the later late 1960s versions since it has (C)MCMLXVI (1966), not 1967 [along with "Pilgrim on the Rocks","Son of Libery","Poeky's Price", and "Gumby Crosses the Delawarer".] This may be the first to have the new "checkboard to Heart/1960s AM rock theme" open [which gave me my "old school Gumby blog" name--see my next post], having instead and Dal McKennon's swansong as Gumby. He almost uses "Archies" voice here..but this show was IMO better than any of the Archie episodes..Great open ttitle with the missilebird flying, and pulling each of the the words of the title out.then roosting along the now completed episode title: "THE MISSILE BIRD"
