But really, this show seems pretty bizarre by today's standards, regardless of plot. "I work hard all day and I expect a hot, hearty meal ready when I get home!"
What's better these days? Not much.

Oddly enough, I just watched the episode which features this quote today. It's the one where the father, daughter and Peter agree that whoever loses their temper first has to wash the dog. Of course, they all eventually lose their temper and the dog gets washed three times. The bizarre thing was how roughly each cast member treated the dog. They all grabbed him by the collar and angrily dragged him off to be washed.
