Bentley's Supposed 'Friend', Chuck Forrest

I don't know how Bentley can accept this guy as a friend. I would have punched his face in or sent him packing very early on.

There must be at least 4 or 5 episodes I have seen now where his supposed "buddy" openly sabotages Bentley's relationship (or attempted relationship) with women. Chuck is a master at c-blocking, and Bentley should never tolerate that.

Luckily, Bentley's girlfriends are smart enough to see how obnoxious and chauvinistic Chuck is.
I think Bentley would have cause to worry if Chuck started hitting on Kelly!

Yes, its true that would have been a major no-no to hit on Kelly, LoL. I think a little too over the top for a sitcom from the 50s also.

And to your point, luckily the girls were smart enought to see through it, and that Chuck was a chauvinist. But it is not only if they were smart, but also if they had enough information to know he had proactively/deliberately sabotaged Bentley. I remember one or two episodes (like the bird watching episode) where they would not have known. And besides, this really goes against man code. No guys do that to their friends. Bentley should have nixed him after the first incident.

Just saw the episode, "Bentley's Mad Friends" when he and Bentley were playing golf. After he makes Bentley hesitate over his putt after trying to distract him, he finally says, "Hit it while we're young!" Reminded me of Rodney Dangerfield's line in "Caddyshack".

LoL, I forgot about Chuck's antics on that one. Good catch.
