I have the oldest surviving episode of American Bandstand on DVD: Dec.18,1957.
This is a extremely rare item. You can't buy this commerically. Also,I have the

They should release a "Best of American Bandstand" DVD box-set featuring performances from all 4 decades of "American Bandstand". "American Bandstand" was still on when I was little in the 80's & I used to watch the reruns when they were on VH1 in the mid - late 1990's. "American Bandstand" helped make way for "TRL" & "American Idol".

It sure did and even Soul Train, but TRL more so copied from Soul Train than American Bandstand with the audience interaction (asking questions) with the artists who were on the show.

I agree totally with your comment. I am wondering if there is a DVD set(s) for a the seasons/decades. If anyone reading this can steer me in the right direction, please do so.
