Bandstand fashion trends

Many people tuned in every Saturday to watch the latest rock acts on "American Bandstand", lip synched their latest hit. AB was also the place to go to catch up on the latest fashion trends. Here's just a sample of what you saw during on Bandstand:

In 1978- at the height of the Disco explosion, it was common for Bandstand regulars like Myra Rodriguez, to wear an outfit popularized by Diane Keaton in the film "Annie Hall". Myra would wear a skirt, vest, high heels with white bobby socks.
1979- spanex on dancers like Sue Bowser.
In 1981- Bandstand dancers of both sexes, wore a litany of bandana's.
