Did i just here...

George Sanders say "Should I sleep with him?". I was drinking pretty heavy while I was watching this but I think that's what he said. In 1956!! What!!!

reply

Yup, that's what he said alright! And Ida Lupino's character really gave him quite the sideways glance after he said it, too!

reply

Yes he said it but I doubt very much it was to be meant as or taken as a gay type joke.....NOT in 1956....wouldn't have made it past the censors.......what I guess he meant by that was kind of like saying "what am I supposed to do....sleep with him (meaning be with him at all times) and not let him out of my sight?"

Did you catch later on when Mobley was talking with Griffith on the phone? Griffith said he found Meade (the guy they were trying to get on their side and the one Loving was referring to) at Loving's apartment. I think it implied that Meade was homosexual. And since the character was made a fool of by passing misinformation later it was okay.
