Male Rape Scene

To this day this is the only movie I have ever seen that had girls raping a man. WOW. But no nudity. Too bad this was made back in '56. Imagine if that movie was made today. And they all get impregnated by their victim. Still, this movie was terrible, that is until MST3K got their hands on it. Hilarious, especially for that rape scene. Near the end of the scene crow says, "Penthouse Forum: The Motion Picture." When the scene is over, there is a newspaper headline that flashes on the screen that reads:

"Young Man Robbed, Criminally Attacked By Four Girls"

Then crow drops in with, "Refuses to press charges." And servo adds, "Say thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, tahnk you." And Mike adds, "Hundreds of men flock to crime scene."

Awesome.

"And my rape victim refuses to go to lamaze class!"

I found this scene quite amusing; particularly when Crow and Tom kept saying, "this is a great movie!"

I was concerned that without Ed Wood directing that this movie might not be bad enough to be an Ed Wood movie. Was I wrong. William Morgan is proof positive that you don't have be Ed Wood to direct an Ed Wood written movie badly.

reply

I'm not sure where you got that all four were impregnated... Paula certainly was, but there's no evidence that he was raped by anyone other than her.

I'm somewhat disturbed by the fact that people don't think that men can be raped, especially by a woman. If he's unwilling and being coerced, that is rape. Plain and simple. In South Africa, they have a major problem with women raping men at knife point because they're HIV positive and they want to 'pass it on'. Men may laugh about being raped because they don't think that they have to worry about it.

reply

I haven't heard about women raping men in Africa, but men raping virgins in the belief that it will cure HIV...

reply

Scothadan, I've heard about that trend in South Africa! It's something you can easily Google...

Forget it. It`s an urban legend with no corroboration anywhere.

I saw a movie were Rosario Dawson raped a guy who raped her earlier with the help of another man who sodomized Rosario's rapist. Very disturbing.

I think this is the first movie were a woman raped a man.

reply

Men can certainly be violated in some ways by women, but I just can't see any plausible scenario where a fully conscious man could be raped in such a way as to produce a pregnancy in the rapist. Even if he were under knifepoint or gunpoint, I don't see how a man could reach the point where he could ejaculate, due to all the stress.

The story is about delinquent girls who lost likely did not have a good homelife, which seems to be their reason for joining up with Paula.

They all seem to either have a bad home life, or are smothered uncontrollably by their rich but negligent parents.

The key word here is, 'negligent.' My guess is that Wood was implying that these kids were not taught about the 'birds and the bees' by their parents, and so they did the 'unprotected deed' with that 'average fellow' in Lover's Lane.

I cant believe you chuckleheads are actually seriously arguing about anything from an ed wood movie... especially (snicker) male rape (100's of men flock to scene).

reply

It reminds me of a quote from the 'Soap' sitcom: "Under this type of pressure, don't be expecting much."

The gangster daughter has a gun to him and is threatening to shoot if he doesn't have sex with her.

Maybe Paula told him if he didn't resist he would enjoy it. The proof that he did enjoy it was her pregnancy.

Come on, there have been plenty of cases in movies where men were raped by women.

Barry Levinson's "Disclosure" (1994), the recent Eli Roth vehicle "Knock Knock" (2015), a little known Clay Borris Hollywood police thriller "Someone to Die For" (1995), Single White Female (1992), Lars von Trier's recent work "Nymphomaniac" Volumes 1 & 2, some may ALSO think "Antichrist" even though it is uncertain (although in that film, Charlotte Gainsbourg does things to Defoe that may even be WORSE, see it and you'll understand), even David Lynch's "Blue Velvet" (1986) has a scene where Isabella Rosselinni fellates Kyle MacLachlan at knife point (even though we are meant to both sympathize and empathize with her and ultimately forgive that act), "Sorted" (2000) and many others, including "Thursday" (1998).

reply

Ok in Disclosure, there was no rape. The sex began consensual and as soon as he came to his senses he stopped it.

reply

Hmm, OK.

But I was also kind of trying to say this - what is really so difficult about believing it could happen?

I mean, we've seen it in cinema AND heard examples of it in real life for instance that a woman can kill a man, steal from a man, physically win in a fight with a man, manipulate him - hey the two Tarantino "Kill Bill" films have proven it in abundance (OK, there, we had Uma Thurman's character take on what looked like a hundred tough men and win in violent fights), and knowing that it is possible that she can overpower him in that sense, why wouldn't it be possible that she could also r*pe him?

Men can be vulnerable and weak at the hands of women too. If she has a gun and an intention to use it its very likely also that a man could be at her mercy here. Some of them are more skilled than some men in martial arts, violent behaviour as well as emotional manipulation. And they may be just as fearless of any types of consequences here as the perpetrators would be were the genders reversed.

Having seen some films containing such scenes and themes, I did wonder - would "I" be able to escape this if some chick attempted to do it to me, and if I started running away or getting mad and whatnot, what would she do then to overpower me?
