Has Stephen King ever noted this was his inspiration?

I have never been a big fan of King of of the movie The Shawshank Redemption, but it seems to me that if one were to cut out all the extraneous details of Shawshank, they'd be left with this film. Even I thought this could have been cut down, but Bresson apparently wanted to keep the authenticity. I have personal issues with Bresson's ability to make an hour seem like an eternity, but for this film, it worked. His ability to capture time is quite remarkable, yet takes getting used to.

Back to my question in the subject line. I googled it, but see no real connection between the two films, despite it seeming like an obvious one. Anyone know of any articles or interviews where King or Darabont cites A Man Escaped as the inspiration?
