Did anyone else notice the goof?

At the start of the picture in the pre-credit sequence Burt Lancaster is shown completing the "triple" and being caught by his wrists by his partner, yet in the film of his fall he later shows Tony Curtis he is shown coming out of the triple and missing his partner completely and just falling to the ground.

I think it's just a very slow motion version to set the theme, to emphasize Ribble's face and his wrists losing contact with the catcher, because when he plays the film for Tino, you can see the flyers do indeed clasp wrists before slipping away, but it happens in real time, very fast.

I noticed another goof but it might have been intentional by the filmmaker. Mike is seen walking with the cane on the orthopedically incorrect wrong side throughout the film, the same side as the injury. It's supposed to be held on the side of the body with the good leg which puts all support and pressure onto the good leg and takes all weight completely off the side of the body with the injury. (This information can be found on the Internet as well.)

My favorite Lancaster film. Great film. I wish they would release this in DVD.

I just watched Trazeze on TCM and was about to post the same message, but you beat me to the punch by almost 6 years!
