The 'Right Stuff' of it's era.

I've loved this film for over 25 years and never tire of it.
Anyone ever notice the striking similarities between "Unknown" and the 1983 film, "The Right Stuff"? No astronauts here, just good solid flying!
Guaranteed to make guys like me drool!
I've been to Edwards many times, even to the officer's club. I asked about the wall of hand prints. Apparently that was fictional, despite having the likes of Chuck Yeager's autograph there.
I'm surprised IMDB, in it's infinite wisdom didn't note that, in addition to the Warner's studio it was also shot extensively at Edwards Air Force Base.
I've since made an adjustment to that under "filming locations". Let's see if they ignore it as they usually do.

Similar test pilot stuff, but Toward the Unknown used real aircraft and footage of real flight tests rather than models, which were used in The Right Stuff.
