๎€“ I have no idea what you just said.

reply

Last year he called him Mouses lol.

reply

Yeah, he did this same thread once before, but used the Greek spelling of 'Moses.'

Notice he doesn't really interact with anyone.

It's clear to me that he is contending that the wiser choice for Moses would have been to continue masquerading as an Egyptian prince, marry Nefertiri (or Nefuiri as he says), and become Pharaoh as would've been his destiny. Then he could've simply let all the Hebrews go upon his own decree. This is what every one close to him was trying to get into his thick skull. They didn't care if he was Hebrew, they all loved and revered him and would've went along with the charade. Instead Moses decided that "keepin it real up in da field" was a'ight.

reply

Yeah this was pretty glaring. Nefertiri AND Sethi both stated (publicly) that they didn't care if Moses was Hebrew and had already shown he had a good heart before he found out his past so there was no need to go through all that *beep* He could have freed the slaves AND set a new standard in Egypt where his rule could have prevented the notion that slavery was ok. It wouldn't have made for a good film but all that was needed was for EVERYONE to shun him after he found out he was Hebrew and it would have worked ok.

Guess God is that much of a dick he wants a bit of entertainment.

reply

Seriously dude? Your post was great until that last line. Why was that necessary?

reply

Projection.

The story of Moses is purely fiction like any other character in any other religion

Yeah, I tried really hard to make sense of that statement, and I just can't do it.

reply

Huh?

reply

what i mean from what he said that instead of letting him be al broken and things he would have been smart and saved his people by having the Egyptian power instead of saying he was jewish and wanted to be with his people being a hero gains you power and showing your more powerful then the other guy his brother was the villain and he was the hero that its what the people was trying to tell him that they did not care they knew his secret. It's like Superman beaten by Darksid Superman wanted his freedom back our Hero was like Superman letting Darksid win

Are we to assume that Pharoah Moses would have freed the slaves? Assume Seti didn't die of heartbreak over Moses' betrayal, his reign would have lasted longer, with Moses serving him and learning the ropes, believing emancipation would come once he got the throne. However, like many a person who believed that he would change the establishment once he got into a position of power, what if years of native proslave influence (maybe from Seti, Nefritiri or supporters in case he got threatened with opposition from Rameses) caused Moses to accept the establishment?

Read Exodus

reply

Well, the specific issue that was raised isn't going to be answered in the book of Exodus because the narrative of the movie is radically different. In the movie, no one knows that Moses is a Hebrew, least of all Moses himself, and Moses could potentially be the next Pharoah. None of that is from the book of Exodus. In the book of Exodus, it seems that everyone always knew that Moes was a Hebrew, and the possibility of his becoming the next pharaoh is never even raised because he is not in the line of succession. Also, the whole prophecy of 'the deliverer' is not in the book of Exodus at all, and seems to have been added to make Moses seem more like Christ.
