No films on Comcast are free. One must pay to have Comcast service, even for limited basic service, which is at least $25 per month, more with taxes.

Beyond that, if one had the minimum basic service, the only films one could see without additional charges are those films which would be shown on regular over-the-air channels (ABC, CBS, CW, Fox, NBC and PBS affiliates), as well any on any digital sub-channels such as Decades, Escape, GRIT, LAFF, MeTV, MOVIES!, and This TV.

Although, actually, with these digital sub-channels, there are several films available on a daily basis. MOVIES! is like a cross-between the cable channels American Movie Classics (AMC) and Turner Classic Movies (TCM), the former showing films from more recent times (1980s to early 2000s) and the latter more vintage films from the 1930s through '80s. Escape airs films with mystery and romantic themes, targeted largely at women and similar to Lifetime Movies cable channel. GRIT shows mostly action (war and Western-themed) films,, targeted mainly to men. LAFF are exclusively comedy films, while This TV shows films from the 1950s through '80s from the later M-G-M and United Artists library, which includes films from American International Pictures (A.I.P.) such as the "Beach Party" series and other films that used to known as "drive-in movies," now more known as "cult films," and sometimes, less generously, "schlock stock."

But to get back to the availability of "Storm Center" (starring Bette Davis and Brian Keith) as an On Demand film in Comcast, one must pay for a premium level of Comcast service to receive so-called "free" On Demand selections. My guess is that would place one in at least the $60 per month customer category of Comcast.

Stirm Center was on MOVIES night before last.

My life took an uptick when I dropped cable, and I get more variety on free TV. Than on cable. I don't miss the 900 channels of slibs going about their lives.
