Would have been better if filmed a few years earlier

After more hearings and being censored, McCarthy was finished by 1954 and after that was an alcoholic has-been and would die about 2 1/2 years later (May, 1957) No one would listen to him by then and he would have been better off resigning and disappearing. The witch hunt had for all matters ceased with him gone.
