Back in the day...

I saw Rodan in the theater with my young friends in 1957, all of us under ten years of age. Screaming and hiding behind the seats as those on screen monster bugs ran around and ate the miners. Rodan flopping around devastating Japan. It was a great movie that scared a lot of us kids who had very vivid imaginations.

Rodan was shown for years afterward on TV and I watched it faithfully on our B&W television. I think it was better in B&W.

Now, decades later after exposure to great SciFi movies with incredible computer graphics, this movie is really dated... but still watchable...
