What about Robert Loggia?

I spotted him when he first showed up on screen and ran to IMDB to confirm. Yep, it was him alright (and a handsome dude he was).

Wonder WHY he was uncredited? It wasn't the smallest speaking role in the film by a long shot.

What a great movie!!!!!

Seen this film many times through the years,
and I never realized till recently who Frankie Peppo was.
Also interesting, Newman was 31 and Harold J. Stone, who plays his father
was 45.

I think Loggia's role was quite consequential.

He passed, u know, on Dec 3rd. I saw an article on his career. The posted a slide show of 20 roles of his. They included ZERO pics of him prior to 1980---so no one who was only aware of his later career---would get better informed as to his hhndsomeness.

They also showed a clip--the last anyone has of him, from last Feb, walking w/his wife. The alzheimer's was obviously taking it's toll.

They never should've posted the clip.

A pox on EW.
