Why the hell is everybody so down on this film??!!

I was watching "Sharkfighters" on local TV as a kid in the 60's and loved it!
I feel no need to go into detail here, but suffice to say the entire film works on every level!
Exciting action sequences and beautiful pre revolution shots of Cuba make this first rate!
I saw it today for the first time since I was a kid and it still works well in my opinion!

With this I can agree, Jerome Moross' scoring is, as usual first class and only adds to the excitement!

Jeeze, lighten up people!! - And so what if Mature likes beer! Hell, if I were in his line of work, I'd be chugging straight Cuban rum, and NOT beer!

This was a damn good picture and Mature was terrific. He was an underrated (even by himself) actor, and did a great job in this movie. The whole cast was good, the locations were real and beautiful, the score by Jerome Moross was, as usual, perfect, and the action was exciting. I wish the ending hadn't been quite so abrupt, but other than that I can't really fault this film, it's very enjoyable. I'm gonna go have a beer.
