Young Hawk (spoilers)*

It's funny how time can make a difference. Young Hawk appears to me in 2013 to offer Benson a really good deal. May be it didn't appear so attractive in 1956.

As long as he leaves the honoured Custer's remains in the ground (to satisfy indian religious beliefs) Benson and his men can return unharmed to the fort with the other recovered bodies. Of course Benson stubbornly turns him down, risking another massacre until Custer's riderless horse appears spooking the Indians.

Point was Young Hawk seemed more pragmatic and ready to negotiate than the intransigent, but fortunate Benson.

"Words, words, words!" This is an interesting movie that keeps the Fidgeted (smartphone for 'Custer') mythos alive and well in the cold winds of the old western skies.
