I found another goof

When the show was being telecast in Los Angeles, the call letters on the TV camera were WXIW TV. Shouldn't the first letter have been K and not W? W call letters are on the East Coast and K letters are on the West Coast. Anyway, watched this movie today(7/12) on TCM. What great memories. I saw Alan Freed and all the great groups of the 50s at his rock'n'roll shows at the Brooklyn Paramount. I saw the Platters, the Cleftones, Fats Domino, etc. My friends and I used to take the subway from The Bronx to Brooklyn. It was an all day affair. First they would have a show, then a movie, then another show...Price must have been under $3.00 for the whole day. It was great being a teenager in the 1950s(am 68 now, but still rockin' and rollin')

I noticed that error also, but didn't have the inclination to report it. There are about thirty exceptions to the K-W rule, like WOAI in San Antonio and KDKA in Pittsburgh, both very old grandfathered stations.

You can report the error on this page:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0049682/trivia?tab=gf&;

And see the K-W exceptions here:

I noticed that during the guitar solo on rock around the clock near the end of the movie the guitarist abandons miming and waves at the camera with his left hand..Now then..was he in fact Danny Creonne: died 1954 ( who played on the recording? ) or the replacement guitarist paying a tribute of sorts to one of the greatest guitar solos on a pop record ever.?
