This movie really was ahead of it's time.
I started watching this movie on tv from pure boredom, but was quickly absorbed in it because of the fine acting, plot, scenery and music. The acting was all very plausible and didn't smack of being overdone in the least. The rebels weren't portrayed entirely as clear cut villains, with the exception of the murderer, but rather as men who were desperate and left with no options. The acting in this movie was first rate, and I don't care what anybody says, that includes the two children (Bobby Clark as Peter Willoughby and Mimi Gibson as Lisbeth Anstadt). All through this movie, I kept asking myself how it would have felt to have been anybody involved in the incident. But that's the goal of a good movie -to have you imagine such things, isn't it? I highly recommend this movie to others who haven't seen it.
