Why not region free

Why the hell is this movie restricted to Region 2? If one believes there is any rationale to region coding in the first place (I don't), it certainly doesn't apply to a movie made in 1956.

Sadly, I am in region 1 and this movie is unavailable to me.

Get a region free DVD player, they are like 50 bucks.

I'm surprised most people havent got region free equipment by now. BTW try and obtain a Daily Mail freebie available from tomorrow on eBay they are usually region free.

God will forgive them, He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven. I can't live with that.

If you check out region 0 on the internet you will probably find a simple code that allows your player to be set to region 0 so it can play all regions. If not, an external usb drive for your pc. You would be surprised to learm that I recently had to send to the US for a film by a leading British director, only available on region one on more than one occasion!!

Region settings are a total Ripoff.
This was agreed upon years ago when PC's were becoming the 'must have' item as the whole range of software and hardware was rapidly evolving. Think Pre Windows.
I'm in Australia and I have a few DVD's made in and for the US and other places.
One of my dvd players has only two 'region changes' left before it becomes useless.

The solution is to get Region-Free software for your pc from dvdidle.com for example or buy a region free dvd player, which are pretty common nowerdays.

The film studios pay multi million dollar sums to actors and then try to rip off the public like this - and then they ask why people choose to get around region coding and copy protection?
