Finally on DVD in UK
'Ransom!' and 'The Green Glove' are being released as a double DVD as the 'Glenn Ford Silver Screen Collection' on July 14 according to Amazon UK. This will be Region 2 Pal DVD.
shareThanks for the tip. My order is in for a copy, and it only cost 4.21 pounds. A guy on eBay is pirating these and burning them in NTSC. He claims that his copies are legit as this film is in the public domain and his are made from a "DVD master"...which is probably this region 2 version. This film is obviously not in the public domain as there are no cheap region one versions in any of the many collections of PD titles.

It appears that this is public domain in the UK. The disc is "all region" and has every appearance of a PD version. It appears to have been transferred from a 16mm print, and a poor digital program was used in an attempt to reduce grain. What it has done is to smear the grain all around and make everything look blotchy with moving patterns of digital smearing. Give me film grain any day.
