And, I rated it an 8. Many great performances here and although I've never been a great Katherine Hepburn fan, I think her performance is this film was one of her best. I've always been a great Burt Lancaster fan so for me this movie hit all the right notes!! Sorry I waited so long.
shareI'm just sorry that it took a half hour to get Lancaster's character fully into the film. It was a bit boring before that. I think they could have done a better job of adapting the play so it wouldn't look and sound so stagy.

At one brief point toward the end it felt kind of stagy but for the most part I did not get that feel. I am not a fan of theater so staginess is always a huge turn off for me. Thankfully, I did not get that sense in this movie.
