So Where is the DVD?

This film is an important historical film in dealing with American Indian issues of the 19th Century, even though by today's standards, the film is slow-paced, too talky and not as exciting as most westerns of the 1950s. There is some interesting food for thought in this movie, spiritual themes in discussing and comparing Christian values with native American spiritual beliefs.

So Universal, where is the DVD?

This title has been released on dvd in CinemaScope in France, Italy and Germany. A multi-system TV and multi-regional dvd-player are required for people purchasing outside of Europe.I recommend trying Amazon websites from these countries or Ebay websites from them.

Yes, but when is it going to be released here in the USA for us Americans?

It's probably not a legitimate Universal release, is it? A bootleg, right?

I am delighted that Universal and TCM have released some of Audie Murphy's classic Westerns on DVD with the new 4-movie AUDIE MURPHY WESTERNS DVD COLLECTION. Hopefully, this will be Volume 1 of a multiple-movie set which will include PILLARS OF THE SKY.
