Constance Towers as Shirley Thomas??

Can that really be Constance Towers in the 1956 Cleo Moore B movie OVER-EXPOSED playing "Shirley Thomas" - and credited as Shirley Thomas???? I have never read this allegation anywhere before IMDb listed it last year. Constance was only 23 in 1956 and Shirley Thomas is a television hostess/columnist in the movie, supposedly a real one playing herself. I seem to recall reading the name Shirley Thomas somewhere as a 1950's New York television personality not related to this movie. The woman in the film to me looks quite a bit older than 23.
