I just read recently that there is going to be a remake. I don't know how good it will be though. I never saw the 1939 version but I love this movie.
Life's a cow, milk it for all it's worth.
Rent or buy the 1939 version.It is absolutely wonderful.Rapid fire dialogue and an all female cast.You only hear them talk about the men or talk to them on the phone.I never tire of watching it.It's black & white except for an extended scene that's a fashion show.It's shown in color.

The rumour is they're remaking "The Women".This is a musical remake (and an awful one) of that picture.As rubyred said save your money and buy the original version.Nothing will ever come close to that wonderful,witty movie.Every role was perfectly cast.I thought June Allyson and all the rest in this piece of garbage were horrid especially Leslie Neilsen.There was a reson no men were in The Women!
They remade it alright, and as expected, it SUCKED.
