I just watched the DVD released by Microcinema (NTSC Region ALL). The print was remastered in HD and the results are obvious, it looks astonishingly clean for a 55 years-old flick. To watch Simone Signoret on color for the first time was a total revelation.
The extras are great as well: A couple of interesting docus, one with none other than Michel Piccoli and the other one with a film scholar. Plus a booklet.
The audio commentary is quite good as well. Perhaps not as informative nor interesting as Philip Kemp's audiocomentary for 'Gran Casino', but close.

I have only one complain about this DVD: The fact that the spanish audio track included isn't the original mexican dub but one made in Spain. Perhaps the mexican dub is lost or it's in bad shape, or perhaps Microcinema couldn't get the rights to use it, who knows.

Anyway 'La mort en ce jardin' aka 'La muerte en este jardín' is a wonderful little gem. Highly recommendable to any serious cinema buff.
