Mitsuko Sawamura

Came here because I saw a clip of Lucky Charm on TCM and wanted to learn more about Mitsuko Sawamura.

So disappointed that nothing is known about her, not even on her own page. Only that she died in 2008.

Always the officiant, never the bride.

She was an ctress and singer. She grew up in Okinawa and began singing as a child at a U.S. military base there. She later moved to Tokyo after being scouted and rose to popularity there.
Mitsuko Sawamura was born in 1942 as Mitsuko Nakajima. She was an actress, known for The Teahouse of the August Moon (1956), Meet Me in Las Vegas (1956) and Operation Teahouse (1956). She died in 2008 in Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan.
In 1961 she performed in a song and dance Musical at the Coliseum Theatre TOKYO , with Misao Kamijo and Ioshiaki Takei.

I found this blog:
"In 1955 Judy Garland performed in The Ford Star Jubilee , featuring the biggest names in show he script was based around Judy's famous concert at the Palace, with mostly-familiar songs from her repertoire, many of which she had just recorded for her debut album with Capitol, Miss Show Business. She would be supported by "Judy's Eight Boyfriends" (her male chorus), Broadway and Hollywood star David Wayne, and most bafflingly, a twelve year old Japanese singer, Mitsuko Sawamura, who guested here, and in MGM's Meet Me in Las Vegas (1956), then all but vanished."

She sang "It's De-Lovely" with Judy, joined by David Wayne.
