How SLOW Was 'Trent'? -- SPOILERS

ATTENTION: SPOILERS!

I saw this flick for the first time earlier this evening, and whiile it was a passable effort, I have to ask just how S-L-O-W the chartacter of "Trent" (Barry Kroeger) had to be to allow a car starting up three-quarters of a block away from him to run him down before he took even one step to escape it? He must have had a good five seconds to react but only stood in the street with that "deer in the headlights" reaction and allowed it to gradually "overtake" him.

Also, did anyone else notice that William Campbell ran like Charlie Chaplin in this film?

I'm not usually fixated on how characters move in the movies, honestly. Steve V.

Running like Charlie Chaplain? I thot it was Charlie Chan!!

Nothing is more beautiful than nothing.

Chaplin . . . Chan . . . I knew it was one of those guys. Steve V.

When he leaves the bank and hurries to his car,
he gets in on the passenger side, and before he
can turn the key or put it into gear the engine turns
on while he is crossing over from the passenger side
to the drivers seat.
I enjoyed this B movie very much even though the acting was
terrible. I liked the story, and there was a lot of potential here.

I had the same reaction with the character of Trent. He saw the car like a couple of hundred feet away from him, and immediately went into panic mode and threw his arms up in alarm. Why not just walk around to the back of the car, or just get in the car?? What gives??
