Tayiloring

Major Martin is supposed to have bought some army shirts from tailors called Gieves. However Gieves were navy tailors. The army ones were Hawkes. (The two firms eventually amalgamated in 1974.)

Again in speech the "G" is soft, not hard as in the film.
